OOC Search info meeting poses, from November 2000:

"The meeting is fairly 'open forum' style. I have a few things to say that will likely head off a few questions, and then we'll open up the floor for your questions. Please page X'dros to get into the queue.

"Jemai's Evelenth will be rising Sunday Sept 17th in an open mating flight over Monaco. As the bbpost states, the flight will be based on RP and will result in our next PC clutch. Now, before everyone asks: there will not be a gold egg. 8) All other colors are possible, but again, not guaranteed. ;)

"Our search process is pretty simple, and similar to other MUSHes. People interested in impressing submit an application to the search committee. These are available via the website. For folks who don't like submitting via a web form, there are text versions of the application linked to each web form, so that you can cut n paste more easily. They need to be returned to monaco@midkemia.net. (Note: for those of you who applied last time, this address has changed.) And the deadline is SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7th, at Midnight, PST (3am EST)."

"The search committee will review the applications, as well as logs of applicants RP to determine who to search. Candidates will be searched starting the day after the clutching. And then the process starts over for the SC. We re-evaluate applications, get more logs, RP with candidates and then make the tough decisions on who to impress.

"Let me also clarify real quick on the subject of logs. There will likely be more than one of them made, and you'll likely not know when you're being logged. Don't worry about it. We want to see you as yourself, not as player-worried-about-being-logged. ;) We won't ever log you RPing in a private area (your bedroom), or in a 'private moment', either.

"The time frame for the hatching is also up on the website, as well as located here in +lhelp search. But briefly, the clutching is likely to be September 28th, with a hatching the 3rd-4th of November. That way we get the weyrlings established for Thanksgiving and the winter holidays (Christmas and Chanukah).

"That's the general nuts and bolts, and is rather pared down, as you can see. ;) So let's open the floor for your questions. Remember: page X'dros to get into the queue! ;)
